The present invention relates to a dry pharmaceutical composition comprising an active ingredient, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is a precursor or derivative of 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) or 5-ALA. The compositions may be used in broad-band dynamic therapy (PDT) or broad-spectrum dynamic diagnosis (PDD) in cancer, pre-cancerous and non-cancerous conditions.
