Devices and methods for the injection of implants are provided, allowing for single-hand user implementation and activation. An implantation device comprises a body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a barrel extending therethrough. A needle extends through the distal end of the body and is in fluid communication with the barrel. An implant is positioned within the barrel for delivery to a subject, and a plunger, also positioned within the barrel, moves toward the distal end of the body so as to push against the implant and cause the implant to move in the distal direction, through the needle.
