The present invention relates to a water level indicator for use in a rice field. Specifically, the water level indicator comprises: a tubular housing which is embedded in the bottom surface of a rice field by a fixed depth, includes, on the outer surface thereof, a plurality of screens in the shape of a slit allowing water contained in the rice field to flow therein, and has an open upper surface； a bar-shaped indicating member which is extended from the inside of the housing to the outside through the open upper surface of the housing, and is disposed upright with respect to the housing； and a buoyancy member which supports the indicating member so that the indicating member can move up and down according to a water level while floating on the water introduced into the housing. According to the present invention, the water level indicator can be conveniently installed at any time and place to confirm the water level of a rice field necessary for growing rice, while allowing a user to control the water level of the rice field by conveniently confirming the water level of the rice field in real-time, thereby promoting an increase in rice yields. Accordingly, the present invention serves to enhance the production amount, and further leads to securing water resources and conserving the environment.본 발명은 논의 바닥면으로 일정 깊이 관입되고 내부로 논에 수용된 물이 유입되도록 외면에 슬릿 형상으로 형성된 복수의 스크린이 구비되며 상면이 개구 형성된 관상의 하우징과； 상기 하우징의 내부에서 상기 하우징의 개구된 상면을 통하여 외부로 연장 형성되며 상기 하우징에 대하여 직립되게 배치되는 바 형상의 지시부재와； 상기 지시부재가 상기 하우징의 내부로 유입된 물에 부유한 상태에서 수위에 따라 승하강 이동할 수 있도록 상기 지시부재를 지지하는 부력체를； 포함함으로써, 벼가 생육되는데 필요한 논의 수위를 확인할 수 있도록 시간과 장소에 제약없이 간편하게 설치가 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 논의 수위를 실시간으로 편리하게 확인하여 논의 수위를 조절할 수 있도록 함으로써 벼의 작황이 좋도록 하여 생산량을 증대시키고 수자원 확보 및 환경보전에도 기여할 수 있다.
