The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing Cryptomeria japonica extract usable for a raw material for cosmetics and, more specifically, to a method for manufacturing Cryptomeria japonica extract having excellent effects of anti-oxidation, anti-wrinkle, and moisturizing, and inhibitory activity for the expression of inflammation mediating factors. According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing the Cryptomeria japonica extract comprising: (A) a step for adding 5-10 times as much solvent to dried leaves or stems of Cryptomeria japonica and hot water extracting at 70-90°；C； (B) a step for filtering and recovering the hot water extract, then vacuum evaporating to be 1/10-1/3 of initial volume； (C) a step for adding 2-6 times as much ethanol to a final concentrate and stirring until precipitation； and (D) a step for filtering and removing the precipitate.본 발명은 화장품의 원료로 사용될 수 있는 삼나무 추출물의 제조에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로는 비활성 다당체를 제거함으로써 우수한 항산화효과, 항주름 및 보습효과 및 염증성 매개 인자의 발현 억제활성을 가지는 삼나무추출물의 제조에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면 (A)건조된 삼나무 잎 또는 줄기에 5~10배 중량의 용매를 가하여 70~90℃에서 열수 추출하는 단계； (B)얻어진 열수 추출액을 여과 및 회수한 후, 초기 부피의 1/10~1/3이 되도록 감압 농축하는 단계； (C)최종 농축액의 2~6배 부피의 에탄올을 가하여 침전반응이 생길 때까지 교반하는 단계； 및 (D)침전물을 여과하여 제거하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 삼나무 추출물의 제조방법이 제공된다.
