The present invention relates to a smart lantern apparatus. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the smart lantern apparatus includes: a communication unit communicating with an external communication device or a control server； a lighting unit which outputs light from multiple LEDs arranged thereon； a fire sensing unit sensing a fire in a preset sensing area； a power supply management unit charging or discharging one or more batteries； and a control unit which transmits the battery charging state and environmental state of the sensing area to the external communication device or the monitoring server at predetermined time intervals and transmits a notification signal to the external communication device or the monitoring server when the batteries are discharged or a fire starts in the sensing area as well as outputting the notification signal through speakers.
