CONSTITUTION: An earthworm rearing cage using timber comprises an earthworm breeding container(10), a feed cover(18), and a moisture receiving stand(20). The earthworm breeding container comprises a front panel, a rear panel, right and left panels, and a bottom plate. The bottom plate is horizontally arranged in the bottom of the right and left panels. The earthworm breeding container forms a cushion receiving space(17) opened to the top and bottom.본 발명은 지렁이 사육 함체를 틈새와 독성이 없는 목재로 구성하고, 지렁이의 먹이 활동과 번식 및 생육을 향상시키며, 지렁이의 사육 영역을 집적 눈으로 관찰할 수 있고, 분변토를 이용하여 직접 식물을 재배할 수 있도록 한 목재를 이용한 지렁이 사육 상자를 제공한다.본 발명의 일 실시 형태에 따르면, 동일 높이를 갖고 둘레로 입설되어 있는 전면판, 후면판 및 좌우 측면판과 이들 전후면판과 좌우 측면판의 하방에 수평되게 배치된 바닥판으로 이루어져 내부에 상방으로 개구되어 있는 깔개 수납공간을 형성하는 지렁이 사육 함체와； 상기 지렁이 사육 함체의 상단에 힌지수단으로 결합되어 지렁이 사육 함체의 개구를 개폐시키는 먹이 덮개를 포함하고； 상기 전면판, 후면판, 좌우 측면판 및 바닥판 그리고 먹이 덮개는 모두 일정한 두께를 갖는 원판으로서 원목 또는 집성목으로 제작되어 구성된다.
