PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect trap which solves problems that any various means for attracting and trapping insects flying at night show poor capture efficiency among light traps using ultraviolet rays, cause post-processing problems such as scattering/contamination and decay of polypides and the attracted insects is required to be securely captured in a short time and get the insecticidal and drying treatment.SOLUTION: An electric heater is installed to an inside surface of upward-opening insect pan, a light trap is attached above the position on which the ultraviolet rays of the light trap reflect on the inner surface of the insect pan in a shape extending up from the insect pan. The flying insect attracted by the light trap comes near the trap light and approaches the insect pan by sensing infrared radiation, descends, falls, gets under the electric heater and is killed. Night-flying insects are efficiently captured and insect damage is decreased.
