PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a plasma display panel with excellent manufacturing efficiency in which the number of barrier rib formation process is practically small, capable of forming the barrier rib with high dimensional accuracy, and to provide a transcription film for a barrier rib formation used for the above. SOLUTION: The transcription film for forming a barrier rib is formed by forming a lamination layer composed of a resist film and a barrier rib forming material on a supporting film. The barrier rib partitioning display cells are formed on the substrate by the manufacturing method comprising the processes of forming the laminated film of the resist film and the barrier rib formation material layer on the support film, transcribing the laminated film formed on the support film on the substrate, forming a latent image of the resist pattern by applying an exposure treatment to the resist film constituting the laminated film, and forming the separation wall by applying a baking treatment to the separation wall pattern.
