PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for detecting microorganisms, in which microorganisms can be efficiently analyzed with a cultivation plate having simple construction.SOLUTION: In the method for detecting microorganisms, a measurement sample is supplied to a cultivation plate 10 comprising a plurality of cultivation spots supplied with another type of nutrition resource, and microorganisms included in the measurement sample are detected by means of fluorescence measurement. In the fluorescence measurement, after the measurement sample is supplied to the cultivation plate 10, fluorescence intensity from each of the cultivation spots on the cultivation plate 10 is measured before and after cultivation, and action of microorganisms included in the measurement sample is detected based on the difference of fluorescence intensity from each of the cultivation spots before and after cultivation, thereby detecting microorganisms.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
