PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably remove or reduce a faulty shadow included in a panoramic image of an imaging target by correction processing in an imaging system which comprises an X-ray tube and a detector disposed across the subject and is rotational around the subject.SOLUTION: An X-ray imaging apparatus comprises an X-ray tube and a detector. The X-ray tube and the detector are rotated with a jaw part of a subject positioned therebetween for scanning by X rays (steps S1, S2). A first panoramic image with one of two structures, e.g. a tooth row, in focus is captured (step S2). A second panoramic image with the other of the two structures, e.g. the cervical spine, in focus is captured (step S3).
