Described is a method for the descellularization of cartilaginous tissues and/or organs, which may be used in tissue engineering (cartilage engineering), for replacing or repairing cartilaginous tissues such as trachea, nose, ears, osteochondral cartilage. This method allows an extracellular matrix with no cells to be obtained so that the immune response of the host organ or tissue is reduced thus it can be used in heterologous transplant, homotransplant and autologous transplant.Se describe un método para descelularizar tejidos y/o órganos cartilaginosos, el cual puede ser usado en ingeniería de tejidos (ingeniería de cartílago), bien sea para reemplazo y reparación de tejidos cartilaginosos como tráquea, nariz, orejas, cartílago osteocondral. Este método permite obtener una matriz extracelular sin células, de modo que la respuesta inmune del tejido u órgano huesped se vea disminuida haciendo posible su empleo en trasplantes de tipo heterólogo, homotranspiante y transplante autólogo.
