PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial agent for sanitary washing which exhibits an effect also to heat-resistant spore bearing bacteria such as Bacillus cereus, exhibits sufficient antibacterial effect with a smaller use amount to thereby solve the problem of yellowing due to an excessive residue on laundry, and suppresses reduction of detergency even if it is used in a continuous washing process.
SOLUTION: The antibacterial agent for sanitary washing contains a biguanide derivative such as polyhexamethylene biguanide and its salt. The sanitary washing method includes adding the biguanide derivative into a tub of a washing machine in a rinsing process or in a processing process after the rinsing process.
