PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide self-ligating brackets for correcting shortcomings, without making the production of the brackets more difficult.SOLUTION: brackets 40 comprise: a base 1 a block 4 arranged on the base 1 an occlusal wall 6 extending from the block 4 and having at least one occlusal ligature wing 9 a gingival wall 5 extending from the block 4 and having a gingival ligature wing 8 a slot 7 separating the occlusal wall 6 and the gingival wall 5 from one another, the slot extending continuously in a direction from mesial to distal for the brackets 40 of the set and having a base area 11 on which an archwire 10 lies during orthodontic treatment a passage extending in a gingival-occlusal direction through the block 4 and being delimited by a lingually located surface and by a labially located surface and resilient clips 25 with a labial leg and with a lingual leg, which are interconnected by an occlusally arranged portion.
