Modulation of the patient support surface (36) is accomplishedthrough two distinct mechanisms - articulation of various sections of the baseplatform (90) and movement of the various peripheral support vertices (70, 71,72, 73) and/or segments (103a, 103b) of the adjustable patient support framework(95).
