The present invention relates to extracts of leaves and branches of Dendropanax morbifera Lev., which aids in alleviating itchiness related to atopic dermatitis. More specifically, in order to alleviate itchiness related to atopic dermatitis, the present invention is to provide a topical preparation that helps people suffering from the symptoms of atopic dermatitis, through the results of changes in atopic dermatitis-related blood factors and observations made in an experimental experiment (in vitro) and an animal experiment (in vivo) of pharmacological actions of water and ethanol extracts extracted from leaf and branch parts of Dendropanax morbifera Lev., which are natural traditional herbal medicine materials safe to a human body, and of solvent fractions obtained from extracting these extracts by using commonly used organic solvents.
