Der zylinderförmige Occluder (1) weist eine permanente Ausgangsform auf. Die Mantelfläche (13) des Occluders (1) ist bei der Implantation in eine Öffnung in einem Vorhof-Septum (3) in eine variable, gezielt von der permanenten Ausgangsform unterschiedliche Endform verformbar, wobei die Endform durch die Form der Öffnung in dem Vorhof-Septum (3) definiert ist.
