A pair of gathers of an absorbent article has a three-dimensional configuration part. The three-dimensional configuration part is formed so as to construct a hollow. A first junction edge portion is formed on the inward side in the width direction of the absorbent article and a second junction edge portion is provided on the outward side in the width direction of the absorbent article. The first junction edge portion is located on the area of the surface layer on which the absorbent body is disposed. The second junction edge portion, in at least the area where the pair of wings are disposed, is located on the area of the surface layer and/or backside layer more outward in the width direction than the periphery of the absorbent body.
