PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wearing article which suppresses leakage of urine etc. through a gap by preventing occurrence of the gap between the wearing person and the wearing article.
SOLUTION: A diaper 1 includes a chassis 20 and waist strings 40. The waist strings 40 are respectively positioned at chassis-side edges 23 and 24, being separated from each other in a transverse direction X and including a first string 41 positioned inside in the transverse direction X and a second string 42 positioned outside. The first and second strings 41 and 42 are generated by cutting off an outer surface sheet 22 along inner cut-off lines 43 and outer cut-off lines 44. In the inner cut-off lines 43, a separated distance from a chassis rear end edge 26 to a rear end 43b is longer than that from the chassis rear end 26 to the rear end 44b in the outer cutoff line 44. In the outer surface sheet 22 in a front waist area 5, first and second string holding parts 51 and 52 for putting the first and second strings 41 and 42 therethrough are generated.
