1. A method of improving the barrier function of the skin of the vulva, comprising the step of contacting said skin of the vulva with a wipe product, on the surface of which an omega-6.2 fatty acid is applied. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that said lotion composition is applied to said wiping product, comprising (a) an oil material containing said omega-6 fatty acid, and (b) a carrier. The method according to claim 2, characterized in that the lotion composition contains from about 0.003% to about 35%, by weight of the weight of said lotion composition, said omega-6 fatty acid, and from about 0.01% to about 56%, weight by weight of said lotion composition, butyric acid. 4. The method of claim 2, wherein said oil material is selected from the group consisting of a mixture of Passiflora Incarnata seed oil and vegetable oil, a mixture of Camelina Sativa seed oil and vegetable oil, a mixture of evening primrose oil and vegetable oil, high oil content canola oil acids and mixtures thereof. 5. The method according to claim 2, characterized in that said oil material contains at least about 3%, by weight of the weight of said oil material, omega-6.6 fatty acid. The method according to claim 2, characterized in that said lotion composition further comprises an antioxidant material selected from the group consisting of α-tocopherol, β-tocopherol, γ-tocopherol, δ-tocopherol, α-tocotrienol, γ-tocotrienol, δ- tocotrienol, sesamoline, sesamine, ketekhin and mixtures thereof. 7. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that said lotion composition contains from about 0.003% to about 35%, by weight of the weight of said lotion composition, said omega-6.8 fatty acid.
