PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cryptoxanthin-containing composition improved in absorption of cryptoxanthin in a living body, and providing efficient physiological effect of the cryptoxanthin through small-amount intake.

SOLUTION: The cryptoxanthin-containing composition is obtained through the following process: adding alkaline to Citrus unshu pulp extraction liquid obtained by extracting/filtering the Citrus unshu pulp being residues after squeezing the Citrus unshu with hexane and distilling the hexane via vacuum concentration, and dissolving the residues into ethanol stirring the mixture and regulating the mixture to pH 4 adding an emulsifier to the mixture and stirring the mixture.
