PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image diagnosing apparatus which reduce burden imposed on a subject.
SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises an operating section 8 inputting origins on a blood vessel region 22 of region extracting data 20 including an affected region 21 and the blood vessel region 22 connected to the affected region which are extracted from volume data acquired by a photographic section 100 through photographing, a measurement section 13 for measuring the position and the blood vessel diameter of the blood vessel region 22 by following the origins inputted near the affected region 21, and a searching section 14 that searches the blood vessel region 22 on the basis of the positional information and the information of the blood vessel diameter measured by the measurement section 13. The searching section 14 divides the blood vessel region 22 into a large blood vessel region and a small blood vessel region having a blood vessel diameter smaller than that of the large blood vessel region and finds a region connecting the origins and the large blood vessel region among the small blood vessel region.
