A massage device sized and shaped to be individually applied to the users skin or clothing in order to apply pressure to selected trigger points on the body, the device having a base formed of a first compliant material, and a dome-shaped body extending from the base and formed of a second compliant material that is harder and less compliant than the first compliant material. In addition, a flexible filament having a substantially planar surface can be used to support one or more massage devices and apply the massage devices to selected trigger points on the body.
