PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning rod which is smoothly bent and deformed even when a fine curving moment acts on the spinning rod, and is uniformly recovered from the deformation.SOLUTION: The spinning rod 10 has a spinning rod body 11 comprising a glass fiber-reinforced resin. The spinning rod body 11 is formed in a belt-like shape. The outer shape size of the spinning rod body 11 is gradually reduced from a base end portion 14 to a tip portion 15. Notched dent portions 16 to 20 are disposed along the spinning rod body 11 in the longitudinal direction. The notched dent portions 16 to 20 are formed by circularly cutting the side face of the spinning rod body 11.
