One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a system that can identify a focal area of abnormal brain interactions in a subject. Time series data can be received that corresponds to recordings from a plurality of regions in a brain of the subject during a resting (e.g. inter-ictal) period. Based on the time series data, an information inflow associated with each of the plurality of regions can be determined. The focal area of the abnormal brain interactions can be identified as one of the plurality of regions having a maximum information inflow.Un aspect de la présente invention concerne un système pouvant identifier le foyer dinteractions anormales dans le cerveau dun patient. Des données de série temporelle peuvent être reçues, celles-ci correspondant aux enregistrements provenant dune pluralité de régions dans un cerveau du patient pendant une période au repos (par exemple entre deux crises). Sur la base des données de série temporelle peut être déterminé un flux entrant dinformations associé à chacune de la pluralité de régions.
