PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide syringe assemblies which restrict distal movement of the plunger rod after injection to prevent reuse.SOLUTION: A syringe assembly includes an elongate plunger rod including a proximal end, a distal end, and a main body extending between both ends, the plunger rod being distally and proximally movable within a chamber. The plunger rod includes a flexible protrusion between a thumb press and the main body. A strut element has a first beam member 536 and a second beam member 537 intersect each other at a midpoint between the first beam member and the second beam member. Point connections 572, 573 are disposed in a state in which the distance between the point connections is not constant. The flexible protrusion includes four leaves 551-554, among which any two are disposed equidistant from each other.
