An endoscope 1 is provided with: a distal end cover 25 provided on a distal end of an insertion portion 2； a holding member 26 fitted with the distal end cover and configured to hold built-in components； a cylindrical member 23 configured to be inserted into the distal end cover 25 and the holding member 26； an elastic member 41 configured to come into contact with an outer circumferential portion of the cylindrical member 23 and fix the cylindrical member 23 to the distal end cover 25 and the holding member 26； first accommodating portions 42 and 44 formed at least on a surface of the holding member 26 and configured to accommodate the elastic member 41； and second accommodating portions 43 and 45 communicating to the first accommodating portions 42 and 44 and configured to accommodate the elastic member 41 which, at time of inserting and detaching the cylindrical member 23, comes out from the groove 55 of the cylindrical member 23, comes into contact with the outer circumferential portion of the cylindrical member 23 and bends by elastic deformation.
