PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discharging an absorbent article, while preventing a non-defective absorbent article from being discharged together with a defective absorbent article when the defective absorbent article is discharged.SOLUTION: This method for discharging an absorbent article includes the steps of: detecting a defective region of the absorbent article PD including a defect part of the absorbent article PD, and the type of defects in the defective region, by identifying the shape of the absorbent article PD in the middle of a manufacturing line 10 deciding the absorbent article PD to be discharged, on the basis of the result of detecting the defective region and the type of defects and removing, from the manufacturing line, the absorbent article PD decided in the deciding step, and then discharging the absorbent article PD in the middle of the manufacturing line.
