A method for forming a dispersible nonwoven substrate in an aqueous medium including: a) forming an aqueous nonwoven binder including a selected emulsion polymer wherein the polymer has been modified with a compound comprising a tri-substituted N-atom, the compound having a pKb of from 4 to 7 b) contacting a nonwoven substrate with the aqueous nonwoven binder c) heating the contacted nonwoven to a temperature of from 120 °C to 220 °C and d) immersing the contacted heated nonwoven in an aqueous medium having a final pH<5 is provided. A dispersible nonwoven substrate in an aqueous medium formed by the preceding method and a method for providing a dispersed nonwoven in an aqueous medium are also provided.Linvention concerne un procédé de formation dun substrat non tissé dispersible dans un milieu aqueux, comprenant : a) la formation dun liant non tissé aqueux comprenant un polymère en émulsion choisi, le polymère ayant été modifié par un composé comprenant un atome de N tri-substitué, le composé ayant un pKb de 4 à 7 b) la mise en contact dun substrat non tissé avec le liant non tissé aqueux c) le chauffage du non tissé mis en contact à une température de 120°C à 220°C et d) limmersion du non tissé chauffé mis en contact dans un milieu aqueux ayant un pH final<5. Linvention concerne également un substrat non tissé dispersible dans un milieu aqueux formé par le procédé précédant et un procédé pour fournir un non tissé dispersé dans un milieu aqueux.
