A method of alleviating a symptom of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis ina human patient suffering from re-lapsing-remittingmultiple sclerosis or a patient who has experienced a first clinical episodeand is determined to be at high risk ofdeveloping clinically definite multiple sclerosis comprising administering tothe human patient three subcutaneous injections of atherapeutically effective dose of glatiramer acetate over a period of sevendays with at least one day between every subcutaneousinjection so as to thereby alleviate the symptom of the patient.
