The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of the present invention for treating xerophthalmia. By using the pharmaceutical composition according to the present invention, a symptom of xerophthalmia can be selectively alleviated. Also, the present invention has effects of alleviating and preventing ocular discomfort due to the various inflammation occurrences such as treatment and prevent of ocular diseases, and a postsurgical state. In addition, since xerophthalmia or a symptom of ocular pain can be easily diagnosed in clinical by using a kit which detects amounts of PGE2, PGD2, and COX2, the present invention can be widely applied to investigate a state of xerophthalmia patients, as well as a post ocular surgical state of patients.본 발명의 화합물을 포함하는 안구 건조증 치료용 약학 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 약학 조성물을 이용하면 선택적으로 안구 건조증 증상을 호전시킬 수 있고, 안구 질환 치료 및 예방, 수술 후 상태 등의 다양한 염증 발현 상황에 의한 안구 불편감 해소 및 예방에 효과가 있다. 또한, PGE2, PGD2 및 COX2의 양을 검출하는 키트를 이용하여 임상에서 손쉽게 안구 건조증 또는 안구 통증 증상을 진단할 수 있어 안구건조증 환자 뿐만 아니라 안과 수술 후 환자의 상태를 파악하는 데 널리 활용될 수 있다.
