PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for minimizing fluid loss and removing an undesirable substance from vessels and heart chambers.SOLUTION: A system 1 is equipped with a suction cannula 10 for removing an undesirable substance from a region of interest inside a patient. A filter device 14 is provided for capturing and removing the undesirable substance from a fluid flow. A pump 15 is provided for generating necessary suction force through the suction cannula to dislodge the undesirable substance from the region of interest and for generating sufficient driving force to direct the fluid flow on the downstream side inside the system.
