The present invention relates to a system and a method for measuring alveolar bone mineral density. The system makes ultrasonic transmitting/receiving devices be in contact with an inner part and an outer part of the alveolar bone in the mouth and generates ultrasonic waves to measure the alveolar bone mineral density, thereby determining the density of the alveolar bone.
