1. An orthopedic fixation method, the method comprising the steps of: attaching a fixation device to the first and second bone segments; capturing a first image of the fixation device and bone segments from the first orientation relative to the fixation device; capturing a second image of the fixation device and bone segments from the second orientation relative to the fixing device, which is different from the first orientation; calculate the first and second transformation matrix for the first and second images, respectively; and transformation matrices are used to reconstruct the three-dimensional representation of the first and second bone segments relative to the fixation device. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the fixation device comprises: a first fixation element attached to the first bone segment; a second fixation element attached to the second bone segment; a set of adjustment elements that connect the first locking element to the second locking element. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first and second orientations are non-orthogonal with respect to each other. The method of claim 1, wherein the fixation device comprises an external fixation device. The method of claim 4, wherein the external fixation device comprises an annular traction osteogenesis system, a hexapod or a Taylor spatial frame. A method according to claim 1, wherein at least one additional image is captured and a corresponding transformation matrix is calculated for each at least one additional image. The method of claim 1, wherein the locking device comprises at least one locking element, a first ma1.
