The present invention relates to a cast and a preparation method therefor. The cast comprises: a core material in which a plurality of wire rods is diagonally cross woven so as to have a net shape and a water curing resin is impregnated and a shell material for encompassing the net-shaped core material, wherein the core material becomes hard by curing of the water curing resin so as to support an injury site when water comes in contact with the core material via the shell material. The cast has remarkable air permeability due to having the net shape with large vent holes, allows skin trouble to be prevented due to a smooth discharge of sweat, enables the skin to be washed with water, enables showers, and allows an injured area to be maintained in a comfortable state due to rapid moisture removal. In addition, an operation is easy and simple since the cast has the net shape.
