The present invention relates to a cyclopentene (cyclopentadiene) compound of formula (I) wherein the variables are as defined in the claims and specification. The compounds are useful for combating or controlling invertebrate pests, particularly arthropod pests and nematodes. The present invention also relates to methods for controlling invertebrate pests by using these compounds, plant propagation materials containing the compounds, and agricultural and veterinary compositions containing the compounds.
