It is an object of the present invention to provide a makeup cosmetic composition which is capable of bright fluorescence color development and which is excellent in transparency (clear feeling) and a novel cosmetic colorant suitable for the cosmetic composition. The present invention relates to a colorant composition comprising (A) one or two or more kinds of usable dyes selected from the group consisting of Red No. 218, Red No. 223 and Orange No. 201, (B) hydroxyapatite, calcium carbonate, metal oxides (C) oil, and the amount of the pigment to be blended is 0.5% by mass or less, and the amount of water to be blended is less than 1.5% by mass. The makeup cosmetic composition of the present invention has high transparency and fluorescence of high luminance, and is useful as a lip cosmetic composition, cheek or eye shadow.선명한 형광 발색이 가능하며, 또한 투명감(클리어감)이 우수한 메이크업 화장료 및 그 화장료에 적합한 신규인 화장용 색재를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 발명은 (A) 적색 218호, 적색 223호 및 귤색 201호로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 유용성 염료의 1종 또는 2종 이상, (B) 히드록시아파타이트, 탄산 칼슘, 금속 산화물(단, 산화아연은 제외한다) 및 실리카로부터 선택되는 특정 재료의 입자 및 (C) 유분을 포함하고, 안료의 배합량이 0.5질량% 이하이며, 물의 배합량이 1.5질량% 미만인 메이크업 화장료를 제공한다. 본 발명의 메이크업 화장료는 고휘도의 형광 발색이 얻어짐과 동시에 투명감도 우수하며, 입술 화장료, 치크 또는 아이섀도로서 유용한 것이다.
