This invention provides a method for determining, quickly and non-invasively, a sensitivity with respect to ultraviolet light. The method includes a step of shining ultraviolet light onto the skin of a test subject and using the amount of biophotons detected within a prescribed period after the shining of the ultraviolet light to determine an ultraviolet light sensitivity. The prescribed period is set such that at least 50% of the prescribed period overlaps with a period of 1-3 minutes after the shining of the ultraviolet light.
