<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the medical hollow needle that can avoid damaging blood vessels with its sharp pointed end while inserting a guide wire into a blood vessel through the interior (passage) of the medical hollow needle, and also a guide wire insertion system that uses this medical hollow needle. <；P>；SOLUTION: The medical hollow needle (10) includes a main body (30) having an inner passage (31), a ground face (21) formed by grinding the main body (30) aslant, and a pointed end (23) at the leading end part. It has a back-side ground face (22) provided at nearly the back of the ground face (21). In this medical hollow needle (10), the apex (24) of the pointed end (23) is formed by the ground surface (21) and the back-side ground surface (22) crossing each other at a position on the inner wall surface of the passage (31).
