This invention includes a wettable biomedical device containing a high molecular weight hydrophilic polymer and a hydroxyl-functionalized silicone-containing monomer. This invention includes a wettable silicone hydrogel comprising the reaction product of a least one silixanc containing macromer； at least one high molecular weight hydrophilic polymer； and at least one comptabilizing component as well as contact lens, medical devices and methods of obtaining such products.
