PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of easily recovering a cleaning function of a contaminated matter removal member by a means other than cleaning and obtaining high contaminated matter removal performance as a whole device.
SOLUTION: This air cleaner 1 is equipped with a duct type hollow structure 2 having an air flow passage, and the contaminant removal member 3 detachably disposed in the duct type hollow structure 2 substantially parallel with the distribution direction of air. The contaminant removal means 3 includes a plurality of blocks 9 disposed substantially in parallel with wall faces 2a, 2b of the duct type hollow structure 2. Each block 9 includes an aggregate in which two or more cleaning members 10 having cleaning functions on both faces are superimposed and closely adhered with each other.
