Disclosed is a carbomyl ester of formula (I) where the substituents are as disclosed in the specification and an example of compounds of formula (I) is 1S-2R-{ 1-Benzyl-2-hydroxy-3-[isobutyl-(quinoxaline-2-carbonyl)-amino]-propyl} -carbamic acid thiazol-5-ylmethyl ester. The compound is useful for enhancing the bioavailability of viral inhibitors especially HIV inhibitors. Also disclosed is a combination of a compound of formula (I) and an HIV viral inhibitor the use of the compound or combination in the manufacture of a medicament for treating HIV and a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (I).
