The present invention relates to a composition for improving a tolerance to a drought stress of a plant, a plant transformed with the composition, a method for preparing a plant transformed with the composition, a method for improving a tolerance to a drought stress, and a composition promoting flowering or growing of a plant. The nucleotide sequences of the present invention encode CaSRPl protein and are involved in the drought stress-tolerance and growing capacity, therefore may be effectively used for cultivating the plants with novel function of rapid growing or bolting.본 발명은 식물체의 건조 스트레스 내성 증진용 조성물, 상기 조성물이 도입된 형질전환 식물체, 상기 형질전환 식물체의 제조방법 및 식물체의 건조 스트레스 내성 증진 방법 및 식물체의 생장 또는 개화 촉진용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서 이용되는 뉴클레오타이드 서열은 CaSRP1 단백질을 인코딩하는 뉴클레오타이드 서열로서 식물체의 건조 스트레스에 대한 내성 및 생장능에 관여를 하며, 이를 이용하여 식물체를 형질전환함으로서 가뭄 내성이 탁월하거나 또는 속성재배가 가능한 신기능 식물체로서 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
