N,N-bis-alkoxyalkyl-carboxamides (I) are new. N,N-bis-alkoxyalkyl-carboxamides of formula (I) are new. R = linear or branched 1-15C, preferably 1-9C, alkyl optionally substituted by halo, cyano or nitro； R1 and R2 = 1-12, preferably 1-6C alkyl, optionally substituted by halo, cyano or nitro； and X and Y = linear or branched 1-20, preferably 1-3C alkylene, optionally substituted by halo, cyano or nitro. An Independent claim is also included for a method for preparing (I) by reacting the corresponding bis(alkoxyalkyl)amine (II) with reactive acid derivative R-CO-Q (III) Q = leaving group.
