PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification column which does not invite reduction in treatment efficiency due to biased flow resulting from uneven distribution of a liquid to be treated in the column or adhesion of absorbents to each other and can improve purification treatment efficiency or the like.SOLUTION: The purification column includes: a casing； and a fibrous absorbent accommodated in the casing. Both edges of the casing are a treatment liquid inflow side edge and a treatment liquid outflow side edge respectively and are open edges. A space continues from the treatment liquid inflow side edge through a region outside the absorbent in the casing to the treatment liquid outflow side edge.
