SOLUTION: The bed apparatus includes the side fence on the side of a bed body along the longitudinal direction. The side fence 25 includes: a side fence body 45A where a visual recognition hole 47 penetrating in the thickness direction is formed an insertion groove 48 which is arranged in the middle part in the thickness direction of the side fence body and has a size to enclose the peripheral part of the visual recognition hole and a transparent panel 49 which is inserted to the insertion groove by engagement with the peripheral part so as to close the recognition hole.
