PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the height of upper cover smaller than conventional ones, and to prevent a supporting part of a wheelchair from interfering with an upper cover during rotation.SOLUTION: The wheelchair housing device for vehicle includes a fixed frame 12, a movable frame 15, a wheelchair supporting part, a rotation mechanism, and hanging means. The device elevates a wheelchair by use of the hanging means, receives it with the wheelchair supporting part, rotates the wheelchair supporting part to a horizontal position by use of the rotation mechanism, takes in the wheelchair, and then slides the movable frame 15 to a housing position, thus to house on the vehicle roof. The device also includes an upper cover 11u and a lifting mechanism 60.
