The present invention relates to a self-propelled type hay collecting apparatus having a forward hay collecting function, more specifically a hay collecting apparatus which comprises the followings: an orbit vehicle with orbit units on both sides； a base frame located on the upper side of the orbit vehicle； a hay collecting device installed on the tip end of the base frame for collecting rice straws； a transfer unit installed on the base frame to transfer the rice straws； a pick-up unit installed on the base frame to move the rice straws collected by the hay collecting device upwards； a crushing unit crushing the rice straws transferred from the pick-up unit, and transferring to the transfer unit； and a bale unit installed on the base frame for compressing and binding the rice straws transferred by the transfer unit. A user can check the hay collecting process and the location of the rice straws while driving the hay collecting apparatus, and work in the rain by having the orbit unit formed into a caterpillar track for improving productivity and collecting the rice straws in the wide range by having a collection wing and a secondary collection unit.본 발명은 전방 집초기능을 갖는 자주식 집초장치에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 집초장치에 있어서, 양측에 궤도부가 마련된 궤도차량과 궤도차량의 상부에 설치되는 베이스프레임틀과 상기 베이스프레임틀 선단에 설치되어 볏짚을 수집하는 집초장치와 상기 베이스프레임틀에 설치되어 볏짚을 이동시키는 이송부와 상기 베이스프레임틀에 설치되어 상기 집초장치에서 수집된 볏짚을 상향으로 이동시키는 픽업부와 상기 픽업부에서 전달되는 볏짚을 분쇄하여 상기 이송부에 전달하는 분쇄부와 상기 베이스프레임틀에 설치되어 상기 이송장치를 통해 전달되는 볏짚을 압축하여 결속시키는 곤포부로 이루어져, 작업자가 볏짚의 위치와 집초장치에 의해 집초되는 과정을 확인하면서 운전할 수 있고 무한궤도로 이루어진 궤도부에 의해 우천시에도 작업할 수 있어 생산성이 향상되고, 수집날개와 보조수집부가 마련되어 보다 넒은 범위로 볏짚을 수집할 수 있게 되는 효과가 있다.
