PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon for a balloon catheter which permits easy checking of the shape of the balloon catheter under radioscopy by depositing an X-ray impermeable metal by evaporation on the inner peripheral surface of the balloon or coating the balloon with this metal. SOLUTION: This balloon catheter (1) is constituted by forming a vapor deposition layer (5A) or coating layer (5B) of the X-ray impermeable metal (5) on the inside surface of the balloon (2) of the balloon catheter.
