PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discover a new activator of a PPAR to provide an external preparation for the skin, effective for prevention/amelioration of rough skin, skin inflammation and reduction of skin barrier function.SOLUTION: The activator of the PPAR comprises one or more kinds of compounds selected from N-acetylcysteine, seneciphylline, sulfuretin, chalcone, resveratrol, ceramide, oleuropein, magnolol, silybin and phloretin as an active ingredient. The external composition for the skin contains the compounds as active ingredients. The activator of the PPAR has excellent PPAR &beta/&delta activating activity, and the external composition for the skin containing the activator as the active ingredient is effective for prevention/amelioration of the rough skin, the skin inflammation and the reduction of the skin barrier function.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】 新規なPPAR活性化剤を見出すことを課題とする。更には、肌荒れや皮膚炎症、皮膚バリア機能低下の予防・改善に有効な皮膚外用剤組成物を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】 N-アセチルシステイン、セネシフィリン、スルフレチン、カルコン、レスベラトール、セラミド、オロイロペイン、マグノロール、シリビン、フロレチンから選ばれる1種又は2種以上の化合物を有効成分とするPPAR活性化剤を提供する。また、これら化合物を有効成分として含有する皮膚外用剤組成物を提供する。【効果】 本発明品は、優れたPPARβ/δ活性化作用を有しており、これを有効成分として含有する皮膚外用剤組成物は肌荒れや皮膚炎症、皮膚バリア機能低下の予防・改善に有効である。
