PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition targeting the regulation of the expression of iNOS (inducible nitric oxide synthase) and originated from a culture product of basidiomycete.
SOLUTION: The expression of the iNOS can be regulated by using the composition originated from the culture product of the basidiomycete, and the composition is useful for biophylaxis, and therapy and prophylaxis of a disease associated with the excess production of NO, e.g. carcinogenesis, inflammatory disease, endotoxin shock caused by bacterial infection or the like.
